We place great importance on acquiring a thorough understanding of each project from the earliest stages and take care to develop and agree a comprehensive brief so that the aspirations of owners and users can be fully realised. We are frequently able to suggest an alternative approach that offers fresh opportunities for the site.

For each project on an existing building we will prepare a survey of condition that allows us to understand all aspects of the structure and its condition. This enables us to make appropriate recommendations for repair and, if required, proposals for sympathetic alterations.

We are able to carry out archival research to further inform our work and prepare conservation management plans, statements of significance and other reports that underpin heritage projects.
