Tower of London

We have been involved with many buildings at the Tower of London, including St. Thomas's Tower, Traitor's Gate, and the oldest building, The White Tower.

When the Royal Armouries decided to move much of their collection from the White Tower to their new museum in Leeds in 1997, it was decided to conserve, repair and re-display the vacated building.

New fire escapes and fire doors were designed in a robust oak aesthetic, the 1950s linoleum was replaced with wide Baltic pine boards and new ventilation, heating and lighting were installed with minimal intrusion to the historic fabric. The famous lead covered turrets and the South elevation stone work were also repaired, and we assisted in the design of the new exhibition displays.
