West Wycombe Park in Buckinghamshire is an 18th century Estate and the family home of the Dashwoods. It is now owned by the National Trust. Since the early 1980s, we have been actively involved in the conservation, repair and alterations, not only to the mansion house, but also to the stables and follies of the Estate.
At the house we have been responsible for the complete re-roofing, as well as the conservation of the render to the walls and colonnades. In 2001, we undertook an extensive programme of alterations and repair to the west part of the mansion house for the Dashwoood family.
Our involvement has included the repairs and re-roofing to the Temple of Music, the Temple of Winds and other follies. We have also designed the new façade for the boathouse of the lake.
Our work at West Wycombe Park utilised conservation techniques including stonework consolidation and repairs, limewatering and sheltercoating to this Grade I estate of national importance.
